In my psychotherapy work, I aim to create a nourishing environment so all parts of you feel safe and welcome. My work is strongly influenced by Eastern philosophy and meditation, and is compassionate, interactive and experiential.
I draw from a variety of highly effective somatic (body-oriented) psychotherapy modalities, such as the Hakomi Method, Gestalt Therapy and mindfulness-based practices. I will help you recognize your core beliefs, old patterns and strategies that have been causing you limitation and suffering.
I will support you in transforming the ways by which you have been organizing your reality so you begin to feel more in charge of your mental and emotional states. With deeper awareness, as well as effective and practical tools, you will gain access to a greater and more satisfying “menu” to choose from when coping with life’s challenges.
While conventional therapy can be helpful, bringing awareness inward, and to the body, can yield a wealth of information and inner wisdom that allows a deeper, and often faster transformation. Somatic psychotherapy can be extremely effective in addressing unsatisfying behavioral patterns and deeper emotional and non-verbal challenges.
My work is client-centered and tailored to the individual and unique needs and goals of each client. Drawing from a variety of trainings, I support the client to explore oneself in any capacity available for them and to any extent desired. There is no need for any previous practice or experience to benefit from somatic and mindfulness-based therapy.
